Blight Dragon

This was done for the Character/Creature of the Month for the Sheridan Illustration. This month it was knight or dragon. Now, I love creatures, but I rarely draw them because I mostly draw figures. So I avoid creatures because I know I can't draw them well.

BUT NO MORE. I'm going to do my best to only do the creature of the month (unless the character happens to be something I absolutely must draw.) I really want to get better at monsters and animals and not chicken out just 'cause I'm inexperienced drawing them.

Right so this is like some kind of mutant dragon? I really wanted some kind of "Blight Bringer" dragon or some dark plagued beast, but I kind of failed. I've never painted a dragon before and I honestly don't think I've ever drawn one either *shame* so many references from different reptiles, dinosaurs and even a lion lol.

So this dragon's anatomy is obviously messed up and I have no idea what's going on with it's scales/spikes LOL. I went with more of an agile type beast that can run at fast speeds.
